A smattering of Go Brands social media content. The company is bucking the trend and focusing on low-THC products.

A cannabis company that specializes in lower levels of THC is expanding its lineup.

Go Brands, which offers products under the Lite Label brand, is unveiling five new products.

“The expansion marks a deliberate shift away from potency-led product development toward formats designed for controlled, repeatable use across a wider range of consumption occasions,” the Toronto company said in a news release.

The products will be stamped with Lite Bites, Sun Kissed and Feather Weight labels.

Sun Kissed prerolls will be available through Ontario Cannabis Stories as .5-gram  singles or five-packs of .35-grams.

Feather Weight prerolls will come in a 10×0.35g format.

Both will also be available this month in British Columbia.

Lite Bites Grape Beyond 2:1 CBN and Lite Bites Cherry Got Back 3:1 CBG will be available in Ontario in a 10x1mg format.

Go is trying to carve out a new category in the cannabis market, and sales have been going well, the company said.

“The cannabis industry has spent years competing on THC, but that’s not where the consumer is headed,” said Wendy Milne, company president. “At Go Brands, we’ve always believed the biggest opportunity in this industry isn’t the highest high; it’s making cannabis something people can reach for more often, in more moments.”

Mandesh Dosanjh, president of the retail chain, Inspired Cannabis, said selling Go Brand products has paid off.

“We took a chance on Go Brands early,” the news release quoted him as saying, “and it’s delivered. BC gained traction quickly and has held strong, and Ontario has caught right up, with the rate of sale there doubling since January.”

Inspired has over 23 dispensaries in BC, Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

“Over the next 12 months, Go Brands aims to further establish light cannabis as a permanent and distinct category,” the release said.
