Rubicon buys Hope location
Published on March 7, 2025 by Pat Bulmer

Rubicon Organics is acquiring a 47,500-square-foot cultivation facility in Hope, BC.
The company announced it has reached a deal to buy the facility from MediPharm Labs for $4.5 million, “subject to conditions.” The purchase is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025.
“Acquiring the Hope Facility is a milestone for Rubicon Organics and further strengthens our premium production capacity,” said CEO Margaret Brodie in a news release.
“The company estimates annual production capacity of the Hope facility to be up to 4,500 kilograms and expects Rubicon Organics’ first harvests in 2025.”
MediPharm, in its own release, said Rubicon will acquire assets, including some equipment, the land and building. MediPharm stopped using the facility last year after it acquired medical cannabis provider VIVO Cannabis.
Rubicon Organics also received certification for its Delta, B.C., greenhouse that will allow it to start making large exports of medical cannabis.
“We are ready to meet the rising demand for high-quality medical cannabis products with initial exports planned in 2025,” said Brodie
“Obtaining the certification provides documented evidence that Rubicon Organics has met strict international standards for quality and consistency in the cultivation, harvest and primary processing of cannabis needed for export of cannabis inputs to certain jurisdictions, including Israel, Europe and Australia,” a release said.
Rubicon brands include Homestead, Simply Bare Organic, 1964 Supply, and Wildflower.
