The last experience with infused honey left a bad taste in our mouth, so we were hesitant to try it again.

However, Farm & Florist intrigued us with their classy variety of culinary cannabis infusions. We tried the Vancouver company’s Honey Glazed Duo, which has two flavours, Vanilla Bean and Hot Honey.

The most glaring issue with them is the low amount of THC, only 10mg total in the package divided equally between the two small containers of honey. That said, based on the different types of products offered by Farm & Florist, they have more of a lifestyle vibe than a clear path to getting blazed.

So if the honey doesn’t stand out for its cannabinoids, then it better stand out for its taste. In that department, these honey products get mixed reviews.

They’re really good… for a cannabis product.

However, they’re mediocre when compared to other honey, especially when you’re paying $20 for two 30ml jars.

Both honey flavours smell good, albeit waxy—which also comes through somewhat in the taste.

The Hot Honey, frankly, is too spicy. It tastes like hot sauce and if you don’t have a palate for all things picante then you’ll suffer trying to enjoy this. Using it in a recipe could moderate the heat.

The Vanilla Bean Honey is very yummy. It’s also grainier than its spicy counterpart.

Overall, these are a nice step forward when it comes to cannabis edibles. The culinary aspect is much appreciated and I would happily buy these types of products, if only to encourage the development of this category.
