Neon Rush drinks by Versus
Published on May 24, 2024 by David Wylie
Neon Rush drinks from Versus are colourful and extremely sugary.
Each one contains close to or more than the total amount of sugar you’re supposed to consume in a day, and they taste like it.
All three drinks are similar in colour to the label on the can.
Cali Blast is light blue and looks like Listerine. I’m not sure I can clearly identify a flavour—other than melted freezie.
Bolt is darker blue in colour; it actually looks pretty cool. This one again has another indiscernible sugary flavour.
Neon Rush looks like the ooze that transformed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It tastes similar to Mountain Dew.
They range in sugar content from 41 grams to 46 grams per can.
None of them have the bitterness from the cannabis distillate.
One of the small details I appreciated is the duty sticker was slapped across the plastic child-proof ring, rather than on the can itself. Sometimes the sticker placement is right over where you sip, lessening the experience of drinking from the can.
As for effect, personally these made my mouth feel kind of numb. There’s a bit of a sugar rush, if you don’t tend to consume a ton of sugar.
If it takes more than 10mg of THC to get you high, I recommend enjoying one of these as a treat and getting the rest of your buzz from another source.
They cost about $6 each.
These drinks are manufactured for Valens by Southern Cliff Brands.
