Valens making beverages at its Ontario facility
Published on February 10, 2022 by oz. staff
The Valens Company is expanding its beverage line with new seltzers.
Manufactured and bottled at their facility in Caledon, Ont., the first round of beverages have been shipped to the Ontario market. The company says it expects its new drinks to become available in BC, Alberta, Manitoba, and the Yukon.
Valens purchased Pommies in 2019 in a deal that was worth up to $7.5 million. Health Canada granted a micro-processing licence for the 30,000-square-foot space in November 2021.
The Ontario facility can manufacture about eight million units per year of cannabis-infused beverages, according to the company.
Valens also has a manufacturing facility located in Kelowna.
