Published on June 16, 2020 by oz. staff
Aurora Cannabis is hitting the corporate refresh button, announcing the retirement of its co-founder and president.
Steve Dobler will retire from his roles, effective June 30. He’s been the Alberta-based licensed producer’s president and a member of the board of directors since December 2014.
“His keen business insight and unparalleled passion for the company will be greatly missed. Steve’s decision to retire and help streamline our leadership team further supports the objectives of our business transformation plan as we remain focused on driving Aurora to become a profitable and robust global cannabis company,” said Michael Singer, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of Aurora.
Headquartered in Edmonton, Aurora serves both the medical and consumer markets.
Along with its flagship Aurora and Aurora Drift brands, the company also owns San Rafael ’71, Daily Special, AltaVie, MedReleaf, CanniMed, Whistler, and ROAR Sports.
