Cannabis Cottage in Penticton is holding a summer series of Puff & Paint Nights.

A $60 ticket to the acrylic painting class, held in the cottage’s private courtyard, includes a doobie and infused beverage.

Local artist Tracy Pshyk is leading the classes.

The first of four events is this Saturday, June 24, at 7 p.m. Puff & Paint Nights are also planned on July 29, Aug. 26, and Sept. 23.

Cannabis Cottage owner Mariana Wolff says she did a trial run with friends, and it was a hit.

You don’t need any experience. At the end, everyone can take home their painting.

It’s similar to ‘sip and paint’ events, she says.

“It’s very chill and calm.”

Cannabis Cottage pushing against the line

The event pushes at unclear boundaries in cannabis events. Recently, Health Canada sent a letter to Oceanside CWeed owner on Vancouver Island for holding a private in her own home.

Wolff says cannabis regulations are tricky.

“You find the line by pushing up against it. There’s a lot open to interpretation still,” she says. “I feel like a turtle poking my head out more and more. Everything is above board as much as possible.”
