A packed room of cannabis professionals networked in Kelowna.

About 200 cannabis professionals gathered in Kelowna this week.

The event at the Eldorado Resort, organized by StratCann, brought together a mix of producers, retailers, and ancillary services.

StratCann founder David Brown tells the oz. direct delivery was a hot topic at the Sept. 26 event where about 30 BC micros attended.

“People are excited about direct delivery,” he says. “This gives retailers and processors a chance to meet eye to eye.”

The ‘Growing Relationships’ industry event has been in the works for over a year, but was cancelled at one point by COVID-19 restrictions.

Brown says one of the challenges in the legal cannabis industry is a lack of unity and a lack of organization.

“This amazing industry event has brought together an array of cannabis professionals,” he says.

While the BC government wasn’t represented, a federal government rep from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada attended.

Attendees also discussed the excise tax and edible limits.
