For the price, it’s hard to beat a BC OZ.

BC Black hit a grand slam with their growing variety of ounce drops, which have been getting rave reviews online.

I got my hands on an ounce of Tropical Truffle and it lived up to the hype—at $125 an oz. ($4.50 a gram) it’s close to unbeatable value for BC-grown craft cannabis.

I would like to see the grower listed on the label in the future.

The buds are nicely formed and a pretty purple hue. There aren’t any standout buds in the 28 grams, but there aren’t any duds either.

There is some sweetness to the flower, but it’s disappointingly bland on the nose for a Tropicana Cookies x Mint Chocolate Chip cross.

It has a pleasant taste on a dry pull, with 2.83% terpenes—Limonene, Beta-Caryophyllene, and Myrcene dominate.

It’s a very smooth smoke and leaves light grey ash. It’s also a nice vape experience.

Personally, I got a potent head high that’s energetic but can leave me a bit dizzy and unfocused. It’s Sativa dominant.

My lot was packaged Feb. 27, 2023, and had 27.83% THC.

BC Black’s other ounce drops include Crème Brûlée, Cookies and Chem, Hawaiian Hammer, Snow Diesel, and more. They’re eligible for direct delivery in BC, leading to a variety of availability.
