Purple Chitral by Woodstock

Published on January 31, 2019 by oz. staff

Purple Chitral is a woodsy, peppery smelling Indica, with smoke reminiscent of incense.

It’s sweet, with wisps of liquorice.

“Purple Chitral is a dense, cone-shaped flower with little to no orange hairs. Characterized by dark shades of purple and green,” says the retail description.

Prominent terpenes are Guaiol, Myrcene and Pinene.

We ordered an eighth (3.5 grams), the only amount in stock in BC. It was a mix of decent sized buds and smaller nuggets. They’re dense and just moist enough to be satisfying to bust up for use.

Hues of deep purple and vibrant greens are nice on the eyes.

As for the effects, our experience was a head high that slows time, then it melts you into a task, and finally tires you out.

Our lot had 15.57 percent THC potency – but it comes as high as 18.33 percent.

We’re unsure if this is San Rafael ’71 grown, but under a different label.

In BC, Purple Chitral is sold from The Woodstock Cannabis Company brand under the MedReleaf umbrella. That same strain is sold in Quebec by San Rafael ’71, also distributed by MedReleaf.

We’ve receive high quality product from San Rafael and were hopeful Woodstock would be the same.

In any case, we weren’t disappointed.
