Aphria cannabis delivery deal

Published on August 30, 2019 by oz. staff

ParcelPal, headquartered in Vancouver where it delivers food and booze, has announced an agreement with cannabis producer Aphria to deliver medical cannabis to patients.

Calgary will be “the catalyst city,” says the news release.

Through the deal, Aphria patients can buy product from Aphria’s online store and ParcelPal will deliver it.

ParcelPal says it expects more cities will quickly be added across Canada.

Its president and CEO Kelly Abbott says he sees opportunity in the $4B cannabis industry. He says the timing is right to enter the space.

“We look forward to establishing ourselves as a market leader in the cannabis delivery space and capturing meaningful market share in 2019 and beyond,” he says.

The partnership is endorsed by MADD Canada.
