One lot of Full Sesh’s 28-gram format Purple Gelato Punch, distributed in BC, is being recalled over contamination.

Health Canada advises to immediately stop using the product.

While it hasn’t received any complaints, Health Canada says the product doesn’t meet certain microbial contaminant limits for yeast, mould and bacteria specified in the Cannabis Regulations.

Produced by Acreage Pharms (a.k.a. Alberta-based Sirona Pharma), 1,200 units were sold.

“The use of, or exposure to a product containing yeast, mould and bacteria may cause temporary adverse health consequences, where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” says Health Canada.

“In certain individuals, exposure to yeast, mould and bacteria can result in allergic symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose or nasal congestion, and watery eyes or itchy eyes.”

The affected batch of Purple Gelato Punch is SKU 1062615, Lot PG23102.

It’s eligible for return. To do so, contact the BCLDB at [email protected] or 1-844-420-2227 to initiate a return request.
