Leven brand pre-rolls, high in CBD and low in THC, are about to hit the market.

A beautiful growing season in Ontario bloomed into gorgeous hues on outdoor cannabis plants, and coaxed them to over seven feet in height.

“The fall colours were just insane,” says Leven Therapeutics founder Andrew Baukham. “It was probably one of the best summers I’ve ever seen.”

There were a lot of sunny days and not a lot of rain, says Baukham, adding they water their outdoor sun-grown high-CBD cannabis plants through drip irrigation to ensure the right mix of nutrients.

We spoke to Baukham earlier this week, after he’d spent the weekend packaging and labelling.

Leven is about to launch their own line of high-CBD pre-rolls, which have between 11% and 17% CBD and less than 1% THC.

“It might not speak to the masses,” Baukham says. “We’re trying to fill a small niche in the market.”

The pre-rolls will hit the market starting December in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

In keeping with the company’s sustainable and organic policies, the pre-roll tube packaging is made from reclaimed ocean plastic. It is more costly, but Baukham says it’s an extension of their socially responsible sustainable model.

Leven is also partnering with One Tree Planted with the goal of planting 10,000 trees in a year, starting Nov. 21, 2022.

He says their pre-rolls are packed, weighed and twisted by hand, and they’re stuffed with only whole flower from the tops, keeping the potency high.

With this summer and fall’s near perfect weather, Baukham says it was fascinating to see the full possibility of their genetics.

“We’ll see what next year brings,” he says.
